Looking for ideas to spruce up your home with a handmade touch this Christmas?
Look no further. Today I have two DIY ideas that'll help make your home festive.
Hanging Wreath
This is a fun one to make, as you can do anything you want!
All you need is a circular base, you can use anything for this, even a wire hanger!
You'll also need some foliage, LED lights, and some little colourful festive items, such as little Christmas trees. You will also need string/twine, and wire to attach things. If you have a glue gun, use that, if not, regular superglue or the like will work!
Start by gluing the foliage to the base, adding the string ebfore you finish completely. Then add some little colourful decorations for that extra popof colour. Finally, add the lights. And that's all there is to it! Now you have a handmade wreath that'll light up your home and add a personal touch.
Decorative Frame
This one is a little quicker to do than the wreath, but equally as easy.
What you need here is a frame, about 5"x7", gold or sliver paint, white paint, a metallic paint marker, and Christmas wrapping paper.
Paint the frame gold, silver, or any colour you find festive, and then add some white paint around the edges to give a "snowy" effect. Using a sponge is ideal to create the effect, as well as making is a little more rustic. While the frame dries, write out your message, or use a template or font from the internet, and trace over it on the glass with your metallic paint marker. Cut wrapping paper to the size of the glass, and stick it onto the back of the frame. Put everything together, and you're done!
